  • End of the Year Extravaganza

    Funded Apr 4, 2024

Thank you so much for all your kind donations. All my students were able to be gifted items to help support their needs over the summer. We have mixed age groups; therefore some of my students got materials to help prepare them for kindergarten and some of my students got materials to prepare them for preschool.

The students either got a book that talks about preparing for kindergarten (if they are going into kindergarten) or a social emotional book talking about feelings. I encourage my families to pull up a YouTube clip of the story or use a website called vooks that has animated versions of the book to follow along with while reading the story. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Adams

  • End of the Year Extravaganza

    Funded Apr 19, 2023

At the end of the school year all of our children were gifted with a variety of items to encourage continued learning over the summer. The children were very excited to receive their backpacks with goodies. Many of the students were upset that they couldn't play with some of the items immediately. We were looking for items that would allow the children to continue to grow work on basic developmental skills at home over the summer. Thank you again for all of your donations! It means a lot to our students and their families!”

  • Amazing Art

    Funded Apr 14, 2023

Thank you for all your kind donations! We have used many of the new art materials for different arts and crafts activities. The students in my classroom have a variety of sensory needs and the different materials and paint helps to meet those needs. Often times I am using my personal printer to print pictures in color. The ink allows me to print different picture cards in color for my students who are non-verbal. Thank you for your continued support for our classroom. The students and I greatly appreciate it!”

  • Snacks and Storage

    Funded Dec 8, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation. The children have enjoyed the variety of snacks that have been available for them. Many of the children in my class are very particular about what they will eat. This allowed us to offer preferred snacks to them throughout the days. The children know where to go to find the snacks and will go and grab what they are interested in eating that day. We have even used the different food labels when we were looking at environment print and learning about letters. It is easy to relate to something you are familiar with. Thank you again for all you do!”

  • Sensory and Safety

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful donations! The wagons have played an important role in helping to safely transition some of our students from one location to another and especially during arrival and dismissal times. The children enjoy having wagons to ride in and often prefer them. The sensory spinners have helped tremendously during transition times and during wait times. Not only do they light up, but they vibrate as well. This helps with many sensory needs. Thank you again for everything!”

Transitioning when coming to school in the morning and leaving in the afternoons can be challenging at times. Some of the students need assistance staying with the class during arrival and dismissal. Wagons will help the children transition safely from one destination to another. They will also be helpful to go on walks or they can also be used to help a student calm down. The vibrating/ light up fidget spinners will help keep the children entertained during any possible wait times during arrival and dismissal. My students have a variety of sensory needs and the fidget spinners and wagons will help with these needs.
