3D Printing for our Autism Program

Thank you so much for making this project happen. The students absolutely love the printer and we are working hard on designs and learning about 3D printing. My student are excited and engaged in the lessons and developing job skills. We make characters from books, to build comprehension, we are making lithograph nightlights to explore light in science, and some students are making their own designs on Tinker Cad. I can't wait to turn student cloud art into a 3D printed model in the spring. Mahalo nui Loa!”

My students will be able to learn job skills that are in high demand and will be able to engage in meaningful project-based learning that will vastly expand their engineering and design skills in a fun and engaging way. My students will develop important communication and collaboration skills as they work together to design and print their creations. When my students are comfortable with 3D printing, We will invite the other classes to demonstrate 3D printing and give them the opportunity to share this amazing technology with their peers.
