  • Basic School Supplies

    Funded Aug 24, 2022

Thank you so much for contributing to my project! I was inspired by the number of people that contributed and the kind messages everyone sent. My students do not always have access to the materials that they need to be successful in school. Your contributions help to support their learning and make the year a more enjoyable experience for them and for myself!”

    With gratitude,

Thank you so much for contributing to my project! I am inspired by the number of people who have contributed to the project and the kind words everyone has shared! I know my students are always grateful to have food available to them at school and it helps them to stay focused on their academics!”

  • Attendance Challenge Prizes

    Funded May 3, 2022

Thank you so much for donating! The kids are going to be really excited for the fidget toys and stress relievers, especially because their state tests and end of year exams are coming up soon and they are stressed about doing well. This will help calm their nerves and will help them out their best foot forward!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Miller-Smith

My students continue to really struggle with the effects of the pandemic. Our attendance numbers are very low, which is one of the biggest deterrents to student learning and growth. Additionally, when the students are in school, they have been struggling with increased anxiety and attention issues. So, my idea was to create an attendance challenge where the students amass stickers on a tracker. They earn stickers by having perfect attendance for a week. Once students earn 10 stickers they are eligible to receive a prize. I want students to be rewarded with prizes that continue to help them, instead of just homework passes or candy. That's why I chose prizes like fidget toys and stress balls, so students are rewarded with prizes that help their mental health and academic performance. Additionally, I know my kids love things like their popper fidget toys and fidget spinners, so I think this will be very motivating for them.
