    Funded Nov 8, 2023

I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I sit down to express my heartfelt appreciation for your incredible generosity in supporting my classroom and students. Your contributions have not only provided much-needed resources but have also ignited a spark of joy and excitement in each and every one of my students.

First and foremost, I want to share with you how we are utilizing the new resources you so kindly provided. One of the projects we embarked on was creating a mini science lab where students can engage in hands-on experiments and exploration. With the microscopes, lab supplies, and specimen slides you generously donated, my students have been diving deep into the fascinating world of biology. Witnessing their curiosity and enthusiasm as they observe microscopic organisms for the first time has been truly inspiring.

The moment my students laid eyes on the materials you provided was nothing short of magical. Their faces lit up with excitement and wonder as they realized the endless possibilities that awaited them. For many of them, it was the first time they had access to such high-quality resources, and the impact it had on their motivation and eagerness to learn was palpable. Your generosity not only enriched our classroom but also instilled a sense of belief in each student that they are valued and deserving of every opportunity.

As for our next steps, we are diving deeper into our current classroom lesson on environmental science. With the help of the interactive models, books, and educational games you contributed, my students are delving into topics such as climate change, conservation, and sustainable living. Our goal is not only to understand the science behind these issues but also to explore ways in which we can make a positive impact on our environment. From creating recycled art projects to organizing a community clean-up, my students are eager to put their newfound knowledge into action and make a difference in the world around them.

Your support has not only provided my students with essential resources but has also empowered them to dream big and reach for the stars. Your kindness has shown them that there are people out there who believe in their potential and are willing to invest in their future. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your unwavering belief in the power of education. You have made a profound difference in the lives of my students, and for that, we will be forever grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Crosby

These tools are used daily. My students are grateful to have donors who know the importance of having the necessary materials to be successful in the classroom. The students enjoy having new books in our classroom library. We have many English language learners and they feel included when we read, and like to read about their culture. We appreciate all donations given to our classroom. We use these books during our free time they can be used on an individual bases or for group reading. Our goal this year is to have plenty of books in our class library for students. You have helped us meet this goal!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Crosby

This classroom project was brought to life by Black History Month Partners and 6 other donors.
These materials will help our minority students see themselves when they read. I want our students to have books they can relate to in our class. I also want them to have tangible items to use when Black History month comes. They will be well read about their history and can easily choose someone to do their project on. I also want our students to have jump ropes to use during recess to help with physical activities. Lastly, we always need items to help us stay safe during this ongoing pandemic.
