My goal is to bring multicultural awareness to our students through books. Everyone is going through a tough phase of life with COVID-19. Students are experiencing the loss of loved ones and are trying to come to terms with this. We, as teachers are trying to help by implementing SEL (social-emotional learning) activities. Books are an extension of our lessons. Students can enjoy a story to help them process their emotions. All books will be in a set place, and teachers will be able to check them out to read to their students. Every teacher will have access to these resources to use at any time they want. The multicultural/SEL library will grow as more books become available to purchase. Help me make this dream come true for my school.
