I teach 6th grade in a public school district. My students are eleven and twelve graders that are very diverse. Our school is actually known as the most diverse school in the county as we have a mix of students from several different backgrounds. Half of the sixth grade class came from an elementary school that contains the most at risk students because of their socioeconomic background. With that said, many of my students do not own a computer. My students, however, are vivacious and excited about learning. I want to give these students an opportunity to learn while using technology. Being a first year teacher and a technology integration specialist last year, I understand how important technology is as I learn best when using technology as well.
