As we all know, the past two years have been challenging for many people, but especially our students. A lot of my students set foot in a classroom for the first time ever this August. They have a large range of social emotional, academic, and linguistic needs. It is no surprise that my 22 firsties have lots of energy, and due to COVID restrictions are sitting at their tables for the majority of the day. We don't have carpets where we gather for lessons like we have in the past that would create natural transitions and movement breaks for them. Also, our school is undergoing construction so specials classes are inside our classroom as well. My students love to move and learn, so funding these wobble stools would be the perfect way for them to do both simultaneously and safely.
