  • Charts, Pens, and Organizers, Oh My!

    Funded May 6, 2024

Thank you for all your support! The materials have been put to great use. Learning is more engaging and fun because of you.

The folders are used for writer's workshop, where the students can organize their writing and go through the writing process as an author. The TPT gift card provides additional reading support for the class. I am able to target the ELA curriculum more to support their learning. The chart paper has been a fun way for students to share math strategies and explain their mathematical thinking and reasoning. I appreciate the support to make all of this possible for the students. They are grateful for their learning opportunities from the supplies received.”

  • Flexible Seating for Active Movers and Thinkers

    Funded May 26, 2023

These wobble chairs have been a huge success in our class. The students absolutely love using these fun chairs! The movement allows the students to stimulate their brains and remain engaged in their learning. It also allows kids to move, which is needed when sitting for a while. These chairs are the most coveted chairs in our class and the students can't wait for when they get to use them. The students are able to learn more because their bodies are moving and their brains are activated. We are grateful to have this addition in our class.”

  • Growing a Community with Calming and Engaging Resources

    Funded May 26, 2023

Thank you so much for your support on this project! The students have really enjoyed using all the materials and supplies provided. They love the pens, erasers, and scissors to do different projects and activities. The calming corner items have been particularly loved by the class. The students use the sensory maze, balancing rocks, and breathing posters when they are needing a moment to themselves. Thank you for allowing to make this space and my classroom more engaging and helpful for my students.”

  • Charts, Pens, and Organizers, Oh My!

    Funded May 26, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation! We are using our supplies throughout our day. The chart papers have been useful and displayed for many reasons. On chart papers, the students together generated a list of expectations to follow, they share their mathematical thinking for how they solve math problems, and brainstorm ideas for writing. The erasable pens are useful for revising and editing our writing and math work. Our pencil sharpener is put to good use daily so students can complete their work. The TPT gift certificates have been used for decodable books for small group reading and math packets for early finishers to challenge their thinking. The students are very appreciative of the items given and so am I!”

  • Staying Active through Movement!

    Funded Oct 10, 2021

Thank you so much for the resources! The students were excited when I first opened the box, and could not wait each week for me to introduce them to a new activity we would do for P.E. The students have enjoyed P.E. so much this school year and I look forward to using the resources with the classes to follow! They have fun skipping around on the skip-its, competing in egg balance races, tossing a tennis ball back and forth with a partner, completing obstacle courses, and playing around with the parachute.”

  • Charts, Pens, and Organizers, Oh My!

    Funded May 6, 2021

This has made this year more colorful and exciting for the students. The chart paper allows me to record their thinking in Literacy and Math and then the students refer back to them and use them as anchor charts. They absolutely love their highlighters and annotating key details in their readings. The organizers help the students keep their materials sorted and also helps me with keeping their small group work organized.

The students love the special materials they use. They especially like the magnetic whiteboard erasers. We use our whiteboards during our math warm-ups and for some of our spelling activities. They enjoy getting to use them and sharing their answers with one another.

All of the materials from this project are so useful and are used daily in the classroom. We thank you for thinking of us.”

  • Social Emotional Learning through Connection and Understanding

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you for providing a way to enrich the students' lives socially and emotionally. The books shared ways to deepen our classroom environment, discussing how to enrich the morning meeting, the closing activity, and the power of our words to strengthen the classroom environment. The students love our greeting, share, activity and morning message in the morning.

We also have been developing a common language with our Cool Tools to help us grow as individuals and communicate effectively with one another. Many ideas are taught and reinforced such as being mindful of our bubbles, the power of put downs and put ups, and understanding multiple perspectives through a kaleidoscope.

After being at home for so long, these are the skills the students are needing most. Thank you for remembering that our children's social-emotional growth is just as important as their academic growth.”

  • Exploring with Apps

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you so much for your help getting an iPad and Apple pen. We use this in the classroom throughout the day. I am able to do a lot with my students with these two items - between projecting books, demonstrating how to annotate their reading, charting number talks, using music for transitioning from one activity to the next, and completing assessments online.

The students seem to enjoy the music for transitions the most. If I forget to put it on, they are quick to remind me to put on the music. It helps mix up our day and makes it more fun for all of us.

We want to thank you for thinking of us and giving us the opportunity to use technology to make learning even more fun!”

  • An Apple For A Teacher

    Funded May 25, 2021

The benefits of using a MacBook is immeasurable. What a gift to have a device with sufficient storage, good speed, and functionality to meet the day to day needs with teaching. I no longer have a computer that slows down, freezes, or lacks the storage capacity I need to deliver the lessons I teach. The fact that the computer works as it should, makes teaching so much easier.

The computer helps my students because I use Google slides and videos to teach lessons, I play music for my students when it is quiet time for them to finish unfinished work, I give assessments online, and we take brain breaks on GoNoodle. All of this is possible because of a computer.

The most exciting part about this computer for my students is the ability to see their lessons on the projector screen. It makes their learning more exciting and engaging to complete charts on a Google Slide or watch a video related to the topic we are studying. We really appreciate what you have done for our class!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Artim

As our school moves to a hybrid model, I will have half my students in-person and half attending virtually. Having a MacBook Pro enables me to interact with all my students. I currently have a Chromebook that only costs a few hundred dollars. I do many things with my computer, where I feel very limited with this device. With a MacBook Pro, I can sync all my classroom music that I play for transitions, have the memory needed to save documents and files that I use one year after another, and have a reliable device to use for lessons I have created on PowerPoint or Google Slides. The options are limitless with a MacBook Pro. Even after all the students return to class, I know I will use this to teach throughout the day to enhance the students' learning experience.
