Students reading and comprehension levels vary from elementary to high school at the my school. The implementation of Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) has been difficult for students since it requires a lot of reading. The students are more tactile learners and need manipulative to better grasp concepts. Incorporating the lab materials with the ADI will enhance students understanding of blood type and inheritance. Genetics is a difficult topic as it is an abstract, microscopic concept. As evident in the state assessment data, students are beginner learners. The materials will be used to enhance the level of comprehension of the topic. The lab is a standard-based investigate which is applicable to the real world and one which the students have some connects.
