A Work of Heart - Little Artists in Need of Supplies

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. The children and I appreciate all the support and materials that we received for our classroom. It allowed us to plan and execute STEAM lessons appropriate for early childhood.
My students were so excited to see all the materials that you sent us. They built structures and learned about balance and gravity. They had fun being creative and used their imagination to test things out and learn at the same time using hands-on activities.
Our next step is to build ramps and test them out with our little cars. Can't wait to see what we will discover next!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Con Edison and one other donor.

My students are young learners who are entering school for the very first time. Their learning takes place through hands-on activities, play based opportunities, and tactile stimulation. The arts and crafts materials will be aligned with the units of study throughout the year. The materials will allow the children to construct three-dimensional art projects that will show their creativity and support learning through trial and error and the use of scientific thinking. It will also support their eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills and their abilities to design, construct and deconstruct shapes.
