As a teacher, I've always strived to keep learning fun. In my classroom, we do a lot of learning through videos, movement and dancing. Once the students reach my small group, real stuff begins. I still have to get my 25 scholars to read by June. What I have noticed over these last few months is that my scholars love hands on things. Knowing this, I want to ignite more fun learning by incorporating hands on activities. Reading is a passport to countless adventures! That saying is from Mary Pope Obsorne and I totally agree. With these new materials, my students can learn to read and remember sight words through games. With the building blocks, my students can build words and read them at the same time. They can compete against each other or work together in the greater good which is to read.
