    We can't thank you enough for your generous donation for these art and craft supplies. They are so vibrant and colorful and also so kid friendly.

    We use Kwik Stik every day in our centers and in our Art center. They create beautiful art work. The card stock is durable and will last. The families enjoy all the projects going home. They love to hang them at home to display. We should have enough to send some materials home with the children.

  • SENSORY, Sensory, Sensory!

    Wow! My students are soooo excited with their new fidget/sensory toys. When I opened the box, they screamed with excitement. These fidget toys are available to students who might need them during the day like in Morning Meeting time, during read alouds and during rest/nap time. It helps them focus and get some of those "wiggles" out when they are trying to pay attention, but are having difficulty doing so. With four and five year olds, this helps greatly with the skills needed to sit still, listen and focus. I ordered extra because many of these students also need this type of help, at home. We live in a District with a very low, socioeconomic population. These parents aren't able to purchase things like this for their children. This Project was a huge success and it is greatly appreciated to all that donated. Pics to follow. Thank you.”

Sensory toys serve to productively distract and occupy a child's attention. In addition to boosting focus and productivity, by giving my students a bit of a fun mental break, it makes it easier for them to pay attention in class and focus. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice of having a sensory object. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed when they are less distracted and can remain focused. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They are lightweight and can be easily sanitized and used in many areas of the classroom, especially at rest/quiet time.
