Organization and Collaboration in the ELA Classroom
Funded Aug 15, 2024My classroom has greatly benefitted from the resources you have provided. Just yesterday, I used my Tabletop Prize Wheel Spinner for a writing assignment in Creative Writing, allowing students to spin for their prompt. They were very engaged.
All of the poster supplies has been used to make anchor charts and for students to work on collaborative posters together. My dry-erase supplies was used in a stations activity where students learned about the Salem Witch Trials, and were able to play a game that used the supplies to learn about the time period.
Highlighters have been great for annotating assignments. Additionally, all miscellaneous student and organization supplies have been put to good use and greatly appreciated. The books I was able to add to my classroom library have already been checked out multiple times!”

English Classroom in Need of Basics!
Funded Sep 13, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! My students have been using these resources to remain more organized and productive, as well as learn through a variety of activities. The supplies have also helped them learn collaborative working skills.
The active chair and clipboards have allowed them to move around more freely during group learning time. The label maker and paper cutter have both helped me stay more organized as a teacher, which in turn, helps my students as well. They get more of me, as I am not fretting over little organizational details.
Again, thank you immensely for your contribution!”

A More Engaging and Inclusive Reading Experience
Funded Aug 9, 2022I want to thank you for the immense help you have provided to my classroom through your donation. You were able to provide a wider selection for our classroom library. Each day, the students need to complete 10 minutes of silent reading. Additionally, they can choose any book to read during this time. Often students will select from what I have available in the classroom, and recently I noticed that our library was lacking books that were from diverse perspectives, as well as relative to students in 2022.
The titles I added to my lists included many different types of books. Some were graphic novels, which interest non-readers and help students with below-level reading scores better comprehend the content they are reading. Some included POC main characters that needed better representation in my classroom library, such as Islamic and Hispanic perspectives. All of the books I selected were recommendations that came from other teachers or other students with peaked interest.
The students have loved having a wider selection, and I even see some of my non-readers pick up more books than they did before. One of my greatest goals as a teacher is to increase literacy, and getting students interested in reading is one of the best things that can help this. Again, I thank you immensely for making this profound difference in my classroom.”
