  • Ms. Rankin's cultural instruments.

    My students have never seen the instruments they got to explore this year! We are doing a whole unit on instrument names so it was a great opportunity to introduce cultural instruments to the students. They loved exploring the new look of these instruments the shapes and the sound each instrument makes. Their favorite instrument collectively was the den den from Japan as it was the loudest and most interesting to play. Thank you for supporting my kids, and encouraging their love for music and arts!”

  • Drama, Theatre, Music and Dance in Pre-k!

    My students were so excited to see all the sparkly materials they could use to act our different stories and complete different dances. They also loved the masks and other costumes we will use for dramatic play center. My students cannot wait to start our theatre unit so they can use their new materials to show their creativity! This gift will be able to reach so many different students because of your generosity and kindness. It is so important that my students have hands on opportunities to bring their learning and creativity to life and now they can.   • Cultural Music and Genres

    My students were excited and proud to hold instruments in their hands representing different cultures. We all played together and sang together. They loved being able to play independently and we were able to play various songs that represented those different cultures. In the picture I provide, we all sat in a semi-circle so everyone can see each other playing their instrument. We were also able to sit next to each other so they can pass instruments so they got to explore all different types of sounds, textures, and colors. Thank you for supporting my students in their music exploration and enjoyment!”

    As a new teacher, I am still overwhelmed at the fact that someone would not only take the time to look for various projects on donors choose but fund them. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and kindness to myself and all my students. As soon as I rolled my cart of pianos into class the students came running with excitement knowing they were going to be playing something new. The majority of my students had never touched any type of piano before. Not only did this gift allow students the freedom and creativity to play whatever song they but they are also learning how to play familiar nursery rhymes through color coded notes which I added to each piano.”
