  • Making Reading FUN

    I can not thank you enough for the amazing gift of expanded literacy in my classroom. I have children with special needs and they love the touch and feel board books. Having the felt stories has also been amazing. I have children with limited language retelling stories and answering questions. I also have children who are not on IEPS and all the resources can be used for them also. So many of our children watch books on tablets or you tube. I believe they need to actually hold the story in there hands, turn the pages, and i love reading to them from books. You are such a blessing to all of us!!”

  • Preschool Artist In The Making

    Thank you so much for all of your kind donations. We did a fun music study in the room and the children were able to make instruments. We made rhythm sticks, shakers, guitars, and shaky eggs. We have had some wonderful creative experiences too. The children go through supplies so quickly its hard to have enough. We have done fun painting, gluing and and making making collages lately. The children were able to make an extra item for a sibling at home if they wanted to also. We still have more supplies to get us through the rest of the school year.”

  • Fun Sensory and Fine Motor Experiences

    I just want to thank you so much for your donations. The children have loved all the new fine motor activities. It has been great for my lower cognitive students who need one on one activities. I The kinetic sand has been amazing. I have 3 students who can only sit for an activity for maybe 3 minutes, yet they can work with the sand for 20 minutes. With covid as well as cold and flu season having more play-dough has been such a blessing. For some of our students they told us they could not have play-dough or kinetic sand at home. Again, my heart if full!!!!!”

All the materials will be used at school. I have several special needs children who have fine motor concerns. The sensory items will be used in many ways to strengthen their hand and are muscles while having fun. The fine motor games will be the next step to help them learn numbers, colors, etc while continuing to build those muscles. The light table items are not only good fine motor but soothing to a few of the students who have trouble regulating their emotions. The items can be used by my hiring functions students as well as the students working at more of a toddler level.
