Sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain's pathways, which lead to the child's ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction. The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students that will enable them to meet their sensory need and will allow them to explore, create and learn. By using materials my students will improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as fine and gross motor skills.
