Many of my students are experiencing school for the first time and the curiosity is contagious. As a result of the online and hybrid learning, many of my students have had very little hands on learning.
My students are ready to explore the world around them in new and exciting ways, this project will give them the materials to start this hands on journey! This project is a collection of many hands-on and engaging activities to support the early development of my students' literacy, number sense, and overall understanding of the world around them. The giant inflatable globe is the center piece of this project. With it I will be able to take students around the world daily and see where we are learning instead of just what we are learning. I've included musical instruments for patterning and exploring sound. The two kid friendly cameras and color printer will allow for my students to capture what they are learning and learn about photography and visual story telling in the process. The printer will also add some color into our daily activities as well. The versatility and possibilities are endless.
