In order to maximize the learning experiences of students, I aim to create a resource room where students have access to learning material that will allow them to develop their skills across the 5 pillars of literacy. In my cart I have supplies such as fluency kits that will be used to help students develop their fluency as well as practice their comprehension since the text is leveled. I have also included some graphic novels that they have expressed genuine interest in to help foster their love of reading. I have also requested some technology such as headphones to help minimize distractions in my resource room which is imperative for the needs of some of my students in my room. I'm a first year teacher and these materials would really help me create a classroom environment that is beneficial to my students.
