Thank you for your generosity. The snacks had fueled my students to focus and perform at their best. They looked touched when they saw the boxes of snacks which were purchased for them, knowing that strangers cared about their well-being. With much needed energy, students pursued projects of their choice, and the works they created will be added to their portfolios. They look forward to applying to specialized art high schools and art programs this fall. Your kindness will be remembered and appreciated.”
Thank you for your generosity. My students and I thank you for your help in keeping ourselves clean and healthy. As you know, I teach art and students frequently need to use their hands to execute the projects. Moreover, we need to prevent illness through frequent washings. The supplies to be ordered hopefully will last us throughout the next academic year.”
Thank you for your support. I was able to print images of Georgia O'Keeffe paintings, which were used to teach my 6th graders how to enlarge a segment of a painting proportionally and paint the drawing using watercolor paints. Select O'Keeffe paintings of flowers and leaves were chosen in order for students to learn to mix a range of colors within a segment of the chromatic spectrum. A color printer was therefore necessary for teaching the unit. Without the printer you provided, this project would not have been feasible.
Attached are examples of student work. Students see more colors than they had previously and they have been turned on to painting.”
A three-in-one printer is needed for future art projects.
Students in my class need to print and scan images with a color printer in order to create visual compositions. This method will be used for drawing, collage, painting, printmaking, sculpture, computer art, and fashion.
Moreover, a three-in-one printer will enable me, the instructor, to print and enlarge visuals for instruction, which will allow me to communicate more effectively, and print visuals for presentation for the school population. I also will be able to create literature integrating visuals of past and present student works when applying for grants for school.
