Microbits Are a Way to Make Creativity Soar

Help me give my students with micro: bits to expand their coding skills and see their code in real life. Their creativity will motivate other classes to learn coding as well.

  • Building Minds and Developing Manual Dexterity With Rubik's Cube!

    Funded Apr 13, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations to "Building Minds and Developing Manual Dexterity with Rubik's Cube"

Your donations made a huge impact in my class. The students were really exited to see different kind of Rubik's cube and also were able to play with them more than any other thing in our classroom.

Some students were able to learn algorithms on how to solve the Rubik's Cube 3 X 3, which it was amazing for them.

Even though it is still a challenge for some students, they are still practicing and trying to solve it like some students from our class and from another classes.

Rubik's cube has been a great activity for all the students in order to use their hands and minds in a different way. Some things that I noticed was that some students are able to handle better scissors, rulers and protractors than from the beginning of the year.

Thank you once again for your generous contribution and for the huge impact that you were able to create in my class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Padilla

  • Juguemos Todos Juntos / Let's Play Together / Jouons Ensemble

    Funded Dec 29, 2021

I have no enough words to thank you for all your contributions. Despite a challenging year, donors like you make a huge difference in our classrooms. In our classroom, it is wonderful to see students laughing, talking and playing together without being in front of any single screen. Technology is wonderful, but we spent more than a year working virtually that we have to come back to our basic social interactions.

The student's eyes reactions were indescribable when they saw the games' table. This games' table is more than a hang out after they are done with their class assignments, this table is a place where conversations are shared every day. Their conversations are mostly about how their day is going or how their weekend was.

Since playing together is a wonderful experience for all the students and learning as well, I have noticed that Rubik's cube has captivated many of the students. After seeing that I learnt how to solve it myself by following some algorithms from a YouTube video. Later on, I shared what I learnt with some of students that now more students would love to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube. Since we only have one Rubik's cube that is going to be our next project. Rubik's cube is a great activity for them to learn how to follow an algorithm and to develop a manual dexterity.

Thank you again for being so wonderful and generous. Your generosity is making a huge impact in our classrooms. Thank you =).”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Padilla

No more screens!!! They are going to play at school and they are going to learn together and socialize as well. My students are in the need to take advantage of the time when at school and do something with their classmates. They need to socialize, create bonds and enrich our community. Since we consider that human interaction is more important than screen interaction, the students will enrich their minds and spirits in a way that many generations before technology used to do it. This is a wonderful opportunity also to spend less electricity and keep our old board games alive.
