Printer Ink and Craft Materials
Funded Sep 22, 2022This project has allowed us to make individualized worksheets and quick communication sheet books using the colored printer ink. This has helped them learn how to sequence their name, make choices, and create motivating worksheets to work on fine motor skills. It has allowed student to have a voice in our room when their communication device may not be working for the project.
We have had so much fun with the paint and other craft supplies. We were able to work on fine motor and bilateral skills by ripping construction paper to make holiday wreaths. We used the paint and various balls to make fireworks for new years.
All of the kids have fun being able to create adapted art to take home to family.”

Cause and Effect Fun
Funded Feb 19, 2022Thank you so much for your donations. Our students are learning cause and effect. It will hopefully translate into more communication. We would love for all of our students to have a voice and a way to communicate with staff and peers. The first step needed is to understand that when I activate a switch, something happens. These toys are a great way to start making that connection. Batteries have been such a luxury to have at our finger tips and they were so needed. It has made therapy sessions so fun and exciting!”

Adaptive Materials for Occupational Therapy
Funded Dec 30, 2021Thank you so much for donating! Our students were so excited to be able to play with toys there peers play with by using battery interrupters and a switch. Our students with vision issues have really enjoyed the light boards to help them see their papers better. Students have enjoyed being able to play in our monthly themed sensory bins. We can adjust it to accommodate various heights of wheelchairs or standers. The sensory tiles have been fun for our PTs to use to make practicing steps more interesting.”
