My fourth and fifth grade students are active, friendly, and excited about education. Each day my students love exploring historical events that developed and established the United States of America as a world leader. Introducing Abraham Lincoln to my class and teaching about his ideals of never giving up on your dreams. Abraham Lincoln met many challenges during his time as merchant, lawyer, and President. He lost more political races than he won before becoming President of the United States. He had the mindset of never giving up. Through hands on and cooperative learning my students will research historical events, create displays that demonstrate Abraham Lincoln’s life. The school I work in is a Title One school. The school is an award winning magnet Science school of distinction.
