Big Behaviors In Small Containers
Funded Apr 22, 2024I am immensely grateful for the generous materials you provided. The games, especially Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, have become a daily highlight for my students. This game has not only sparked their enthusiasm but has also cultivated their leadership skills and taught them valuable lessons in processing and managing frustration. It's been wonderful to see the students come together, build camaraderie, and develop a sense of teamwork through these engaging activities.
Additionally, the color-by-number sheets have been a tremendous hit. They've offered students a much-needed break from intense thinking, allowing them to engage in a calming and creative activity without feeling overwhelmed. The simplicity of this task has provided a perfect balance, helping them to relax while still stimulating their minds. Your contributions have truly enriched their learning experience and fostered a more inclusive and enjoyable environment. Thank you for making such a positive impact on their school life.”
With gratitude,

Funded Apr 3, 2023I cannot thank you enough for your support of this project! I have never seen my students so interested in new materials. My students were immediately drawn to the breathing buddha and the puzzle. There have been countless occasions where my students will pop in my office during transition just to take a breathing break. The puzzle and the lap pad are instantly grabbed by multiple students when they enter the room. It is so wonderful to see how easily the students get comfortable and start talking when they have something else to focus on.
During patriot period (recess), I oftentimes am a safe space for students who are trying to avoid confrontation with others. I offered a group of 6 students who were escalated to play in a "spot it challenge." While they initially were not interested, I have since been asked on a daily basis when the next challenge will be. It brought the students together and assisted them in de-escalating from the situation that was occurring.
Sometimes the students don't want to talk and just need other things to take their mind off of their current stressor. By funding this project, you have provided so many new ways for them to do that. Thank you again for your generosity!”

Mrs. Mosh
Cooperation Leads to Regulation
Funded Jan 6, 2023I want to express my gratitude for your donation to my project. Since getting this project funded, I have run a successful relational aggression group at both schools and am starting a self-esteem group (curriculum purchased from teachers pay teachers). I have also purchased multiple new icebreaker activities via teachers pay teachers to which the students have really been enjoying as they are different from things they have done in the past. The most surprising thing to me is how much the students utilize the zen garden! As soon as they saw it, they immediately were making patterns in the sand and building different "lands" with objects they could find. We have used the zen garden more times than I can count to connect things to their life. Although these items may seem small, they are already making a huge impact on the students here at Old Mill! Thank you again for your kindness and generosity!”

Funded Jan 13, 2022I cannot express how grateful I am for your support! Unfortunately, our school does not have space available for calming corners or calming rooms. The items that I was able to purchase with this money made my room a comfortable and calm environment for kids to come and de-escalate. By creating a welcoming environment, students have seemed to be more open to talking and working towards eliminating the barriers that are impacting their school day.
The money you supported me with not only helped my room become the calming center we needed, but provided me with a plethora of new social emotional resources. I have started 3 new groups with fresh ideas as well as started school wide mentoring programs and academic success centers. The students are excited to come and attempt different methods to handle their problems whether they are learning that through games, worksheets or talk therapy.
You have given me the opportunity to work with a much broader population of kids as well as make great strides with the students already on my caseload. I feel refreshed with the new ideas and love walking into my office everyday!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Mosh
