The students arrive at school at 7:30 A.M. and they receive their breakfast when walking into the building. While sometimes the breakfast is cereal, other times it is something new that the children are not willing to try. As third graders, we eat lunch at 12:15 P.M. and by that time, the students are starving. Before lunch, we have math and when students are hungry and unable to focus, it can make the math block challenging. Not all of the students are able to bring their own snack but because I do not want anyone hungry, it makes it costly on me providing snacks everyday.
