Students in general desperately need to learn how to work together with other students. They need to learn how to simply play and enjoy the company of other kids--especially from the aftermath of COVID. The variety of these hands on activities will allow my students to learn these essential skills. Along with the social skills that my students will develop, they will also enhance their cognitive and motor skill development, problem solving skills, and creativity. The magna-tiles, geoboards, dominoes, magnetic sentence builder, and STEM building pieces will be used as the students arrive to school each day. This is a great alternative to the typical "morning work" that students are often given. I know this will get my students excited to come to school and start the day! Starting off the morning in a positive and fun way makes all the difference in how the rest of the day goes. The activities listed above along with Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and the story cubes will be used during indoor recess, class parties, and free time for the students including "Fun Friday." Students work so hard during the week to have an engaging Fun Friday and adding these activities to their options will make them SO excited. It will promote team work, social skills, creative thinking, and so much more. Thank you so much for considering donating to my wonderful students!
