  • Noise-Free Sharpeners for Students With Noise Sensitivity

    Thanks for supporting "Noise Free Sharpeners for Students with Noise Sensitivity". My students have remarked several times about how quiet our electric classroom sharpener is when compared to other classroom sharpeners. I do not have any of my autistic students holding their when their classmates use the sharpener. The hand held manual sharpeners are also a big hit. The students are especially putting them to good use in the classrooms without electric sharpeners.

    The students we're excited when they realized we had a classroom sharpener as well as individual sharpeners.”

  • Stress Free School Year!

    Thank you for supporting "Stress Free School Year." The school supplies(composition books, dry erase markers, pencils, pens, highlighters etc.) made the families of many of my students feel less of a financial burden.

    I believe you helped my students enjoy less stress... and possibly less embarrassment. When I asked who didn't have a highlighter... the students without highlighters put up their hand and were given a highlighter. The students were surprised when I said take a label and put your name on the highlighter. The students smiled when they realized they could keep the supplies.”

  • Headphones for STEM Projects!

    It is with great appreciation that we thank you for your kindness and willingness to support our "Headphones for STEM Projects!" The technology you provided has made us more efficient because we are able to work at our own pace. We can use the headphones to explore and pursue STEM projects that interest us as individuals without disturbing our classmates.

    Initially, we were excited by the plethora of colors our headphones came in. Eventually, as we began to use more of our approved websites we realized the sound quality of the headphones were superior.

    The ENL students (they are students who receive extra support because they recently tested out of ESL) are using the headphones for extra periods (when they are with their ENL teacher) so they can work on their pronunciation of English words.”

  • iPad Needed for STEM Learning

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

    We thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for the I-Pad. The I-Pad made it possible to research the games for our Caine's Arcade STEM project. We had to research carnival games because many of us have never been to a carnival. We also researched digital games to put together our arcade. When we were shaping our digital games the touch screen capability of the I-Pad helped (it is our only touch screen device). We love this project each year because it is lots of fun and it is our STEM fundraiser. The money collected from previous years went to "Pennies for Patients" which helps kids with leukemia this year we decided that our community was in desperate need so the money was donated to a local food bank.

    Our next project will focus on green architecture. The I-Pad you generously gave us will help us research sustainable resources for the green architecture STEM project.”

I would like to give my students the optimal experience learning new material which will help them be critical thinkers, design content, and animate their assignments. As a senior teacher, I am always looking to improve my teaching. I believe an iPad will enhance my students learning experience and help us all grow as learners.
