My students at Columbia heights Ed. Campus are truly appreciative of all the support from the donors. Students are currently utilizing the new resources to discover the power of grief sharing and honoring their deceased loved ones. It is about keeping their loved ones present and learning positive ways of memorializing in a school setting. During a classroom event students created memory bracelets to share one memorable story of their loved one. Students were impressed by the quality of the materials that were used. Students are utilizing these materials to further enhance mental health initiatives at our school.”
These materials will create a rich experience to process the loss of someone special. Students also lived during a pandemic that made drastic changes to their lives. All of our students who enter the mental health wing state that they are having difficulty processing the worldwide change. The most expensive item on this list is the acrylic paint, this paint will be used to decorate their memory boxes. All items will be used for different activities that are used to process their loss. These groups are bilingual to target our diverse cultures.
