  • For The Love of Art

    Funded Dec 18, 2021

My students love ART. Due to your donation our ART lessons have been phenomenal . A lesson we recently did with our new resources is abstract art using our hands. My students absolutely loved the lesson. They were so happy and they worked so hard to create their art.

When my students saw all of those art supplies they were extremely surprised and excited. Ready to use them right away. They were so excited to see the paint, color pencils, markers , and crayons. My students were so happy.

My next Art lesson will take place this week. I really want my students to make some kind of art for the Spring time to share with their families. Most likely we will draw and paint tulips or sunflowers. Thank you for everything. We are truly grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Washington

  • Supplies for Scholars

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

Thank you for everything. Your donations has had a huge impact on my students and my classroom . Being a first year teacher I didn't have all the supplies and resources I needed for the school year . Throughout, the school year I notice it was more and more supplies I needed for my classroom .

These new resources are being used everyday in my class. When my students saw all of my supplies they was very happy. My students were very grateful for all of the donations we received.

The next steps for my students when it comes to a classroom lesson or project is a STEM challenge . Friday is the last day of school before spring break. So to end the week on a good note . I have a stem lesson planned for my students since they love Science and Engineering so much . The stem challenge I want to try with my students is making the longest paper chain from a single sheet of construction paper within 10 minutes. Thank you again for all of your help. My students and I truly appreciate your kindness.”

  • A Book for Every Learner

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation. Reading is very fundamental part of education. Reading never stops we read every single day. Your donation have helped my students and I tremendously in so may ways. I am a first year teacher so I didn't have many books especially different reading levels that could meet the needs of my students. These books are used to teach many lessons. For example identify main ideas and key details, retelling, summarizing text, and comprehension skills .

Everyday in my classroom we do reading small groups. The groups are differentiated by students reading levels. In these small groups students read together as a group or students can read any book in the class room independently . In these groups we practice different skills like comprehension and retelling . During , our ELA block we read as a class. Then after lunch everyday I read a chapter book out loud to my students. We are currently reading the book " Restart" by Gordon Korman.

All of my students enjoyed the new books. However, some enjoyed them a little more than others. I have one student that loves history books or nonfiction books so whenever its time for independent reading he goes for that kind of book. A lot of the boys in my class like reading the "Goosebumps " series or "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series . The donations definitely have given my students many and plenty of options to read different kinds of books. My classroom is truly grateful for all of your help and donations .”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Washington

These books will be a great addition to my classroom. All of my students are reading at different grade levels. These books will cater to their needs. My students need a library where every student can find a book that they can read and also, books that will enhance their reading. My students love nonfiction books . They enjoy books that are science based and history based. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind to not just fulfill students' interest, but their needs as well.
