Making sure students are interested in what they are learning is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their independent activities. Currently, my students are choosing to work with letters I have created, "white boards" I have created using a plastic sleeve protector, and other things I have collected to try to engage them in meaningful hands on learning.
These hands on products will allow students to take charge of their learning and engage in more meaningful practice of ideas taught in the classroom. Your contribution to these products will impact their growth and help their love of learning.
