My students complete work at different times throughout the day. I always hear, "What do I do now?" The learning binders will be a great resource for my students to work independently throughout the day. This year my class, by nature, are an independent group of learners. The binders would satisfy their excitement for learning. Within these binders, the students will have an opportunity to practice number sense, one-to-one correspondence, writing numbers, building physical shapes. For literacy, they will be able to apply rhyming skills, handwriting, blending, segmenting and spelling. These binders will review and enrich lessons from our whole group instruction. It will provide guided practice for those learners who need extra application of skills, but will also enrich the students that have achieved mastery and are ready to move on to higher skills.
