Throughout the year my students have multiple opportunities to submit work for display and contests. Matted artwork gives students a sense of pride; matted work looks professional and finished. Students become more invested in their work when they know it will be shared publicly. Providing these supplies will allow for these students to participate on a level they have yet to achieve. In addition to the regular art classes, the Advanced Placement students are required to mat their work for submission. Advanced Placement students are allowed to receive college credit for their portfolio submissions.
