3K Science and Math Center in Need
Funded Nov 26, 2021I am so grateful for your extremely generous donation to my students and classroom! My students were so excited when the box of new material arrived. They helped me unpack and put everything on our shelves. They could not wait to play with all the new material. The boys' favorite toy is the play variety of dinosaurs. The girls' favorite toy is the GeoSafari talking microscope. This microscope is super educational and a whole lot of fun! A favorite of mine is the primer practice balance, this helps the students weigh different materials to see which is heavier. The liquid motion bubble timers help calm us down when we are feeling sad or mad.
The children were extra excited about the rose flower model since we are doing an experiment with roses inside the classroom right now. We have 4 white roses in tubes and 3 roses have food coloring inside the water. We first predicted what would happen to the rose and now we are predicting which color will change the white rose the fastest. With this model the students actually get to see the inside of a rose which helps them better understand how to take care of the rose and shows them how the rose absorbs the water. They think it is so cool to see the inside of the stem and how it is helping our white roses change colors.
We greatly appreciate your donation to our classroom to help better our science and math center. A goal of mine when creating this project was to show my students how fun science and math can really be and with your help we definitely reach our goal. My students now love the science and math center at school and all our new materials. Thanks again!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Chioffe
