  • Indoor Student Gardening Space

    Funded Feb 15, 2023

Our students will be beyond excited to hear their project has been funded. This is especially important given that spring is around the corner and the student are really wanting to garden more than ever. Thank you for believing in them and our project. We cannot wait to share our garden with you come summer.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cardinale

  • Bringing Student Work to Life: Printing Supplies for Student Displays

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

This year students and teachers alike were brought back to their classrooms and were tasked in making new and continued connections with their peers, schools and content areas. To head start their learning and boost their morale for school, we asked for your help in financially supporting our sixth grade science team with printing supplies for the entire sixth grade student body to bring life to their educational ideas, projects and color our hallways with their scientific ideas.

Over the course of six months, grade teachers were able to print and share student projects. Overall, students were beyond thrilled to hear their work was displayed on the walls and were so excited to ask to see eachothers work there to review past concepts once printed out.

When ink became unavailable, the paper supplies helped the students to draw and construct diagrams on the fly when working with their partners. Some projects included drawing compasses, map making and constructing detailed models of the water cycle.

Your contribution to our school community greatly enhanced the students engagement in their learning and provided our sixth grade science educators the materials to support science learning on the fly day to day. Our students greatly appreciated the technology and learning supplies you donated for them. We are so grateful and appreciative for your support this school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cardinale

These supplies are needed to ensure we can provide nearly 600 students the printouts they need to engage with their science learning. As color printing is not available to our students currently, their work is lacking the flair they desire to show off their work with others. The goal is to allow the teachers and students accessing these supplies to be able to show their thinking on paper, in an organized and engaging way. This is to ensure that student engagement with learning is high, whether passing by the posters in the hallway or looking at a handout passed to students in our classrooms. For the educators who will utilize the printer, they will be able to print their class handouts and poster documents in color, allowing them to show their examples and student examples to shine and continue to entice our learners in engaging with the science content on their project much easier.
