The students in my classroom are all non-verbal and are on the Autism Spectrum. They communicate and learn using picture exchange symbols. With the use of a tablet, they will be able to request their needs and wants through apps. This will also be useful when answering and asking questions in the middle of a lesson. They enjoy music, movement, hands-on activities and they are very curious. Online educational websites such as Starfall and ABCYa are helpful because they are not able to hold a pencil and through these sites, they can trace with their fingers the letter of the alphabet and numbers.
