Many of my students have gaps in reading (RL4.1-3/RI4.1-3) skills and math (OA/NBT) skills, especially due to distance learning and absences due to COVID-related illnesses. This project will help to close these gaps and set students up for success in this grade and the next.
Many of the families of my students are experiencing some financial distress due to COVID-19. They don't have technology at home for their children to use for homework or additional practice. Families with multiple children who are school age have even tighter budgets. Even with one device at home, children in the same family have to share it.
This project will give students more opportunity and exposure to using technology to learn. With the additional technology, they will be able to enjoy learning more. This project will foster inclusion in my classroom.
