After almost two years of being at home, on a device, or six feet apart my students are in the class full time. They are struggling to be motivated and engaged with the learning materials. The hands on materials will help make my math and ELA centers engaging. With the letters students can practice blending and building high frequency words (1.K.5 Identify high frequency words to build fluency and comprehension). With the math materials students can work on number fluency (1.K.3 Match the number of objects in a set to the correct numeral 0 to 10. Recognize relationships of more than, less than, and equal to). With the books I can provide students with ways to discuss emotions, social emotional growth, health, and inclusion. I want students to feel represented in my classroom and motivated to learn.
