My students are constantly on the move for comfort from the standard tables and chairs in the classroom. The best days are the days that they can choose their seats which often end up being on the floor. Typically Fridays are dedicated to on the move days where they can pick a spot anywhere in the room to listen to our book. Movement is so important in a special education classroom, because it allows students to decompress and channel their energy elsewhere. My students would love to be able to complete work in a comfortable sport so the floor pillows and laptop lap desk would allow them to do just that.
