I am requesting sensory balls and sensory rings, Magnatiles and building blocks. My project has a dual purpose. First I would like to create a space for my students to enjoy during inclement weather days. Second, I would like the same space to be filled with sensory activities that help them address their sensory seeking behaviors. Children with Autism have an incredible amount of energy. They are also anxious when there is a change in their schedule. Imagine 13 of them inside a classroom during a high wind day and no outside time. As a teacher I need to be able to provide a variety of activities that will help them be able to cope with their day.
