I have always been a fan of flexible seating in my classroom. My students do better when they are allowed to move around the room to complete assignments independently or in groups. With the round floor cushions and rugs, my students will be more comfortable sitting on the floor and it will also be an incentive for good behavior as well as toy prizes that are for my treasure box. Due to COVID, we do need to keep a distance, that is why my table spots would be perfect for small group instruction!
My students are more focused and engaged when they are able to choose where they want to work!
Since we will be entering the second semester, in second grade, in math we will be learning about money and how to read a clock. These flash cards would be perfect for a quick review and also for centers. The flash cards would hit the standards, 2.MD.C.7 and 2.MD.C.8.
My students take tests really seriously, therefore, I would love to have privacy folders for them when they are taking a test.
