This laptop will continue to enhance the technology-driven classroom and extracurricular activities that I strive to create with how the world continues to progress each day. Our primary objective is to have fun, but others include teaching students the importance of teamwork and gracious professionalism. And hopefully, this robotics club will also spark an interest in a STEM-related career within them with the help of this laptop making life simpler rather than more difficult. In doing so, this extracurricular club challenges its participants to use engineering, designing, coding, financing, management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
With this new laptop, my students will be able to work on a variety of new applications that will allow them to expand their knowledge and abilities in making their robot a state-of-the-art exemplar.
With the funding of this project, the robotics members would be able to increase their productivity, as we only have a limited supply of materials to work with. We have been using our original coding computer for over 8 years now, and we are in dire need of a new one. Our criteria for our new laptop was affordability, accessibility to windows, and overall hardware performance in order to make the coding process an easier one for us to achieve great success in gaining the most amount of points. With that in mind, we have decided to purchase the Acer Swift 3 which has Windows 10 and the capability of accessing multiple applications designed to make our robot achieve the necessary achievements for the Freight Frenzy game this year.
