As students return to full in-person learning, it is important to provide opportunities for them to feel confident in who they are, provide time to take breaks and communicate their feelings. We want to ensure that especially students with special needs are provided tools and opportunities to grow, learn and take the breaks that they might need during this transition time from returning from COVID learning at home. The coloring books, lego building, multicultural crayons, journals and sticker books can provide the students a escalation time within their scheduled Resource time to discuss how they are feeling returning to in person learning and how that transition is affecting them. The book sets will offer our students with reading challenges high interest books that help them to feel confident with the skills that they have and also increase their love for reading. The classroom posters will provide students visual reminders that during this time of uncertainty, and returning to in person learning and the challenges that come with that, that they can do hard things!
