  • Future Scientists and Mathematicians

    Funded Aug 24, 2022

I appreciate all of the donations you gave to our classroom community. The folders, composition books, sheet protectors and more, have helped so much with organization and learning. The fourth grade students are able to have quality supplies that have lasted since the beginning of the year. We continue to use folders, binders and all of the supplies that you have donated to organize our thinking, share our strategies with peers, color code subjects and more. Because of donors like you, we are able to have a smoother year.

    With much appreciation,

    Mayra Carrasco”

    With gratitude,

  • Representation of Ocean Animals

    Funded May 20, 2022

Thank you so much for making our study of ocean animals and their defense mechanisms come to life. Students were able to use all the materials donated by you to articulate their understanding of the animal they became experts in. Through murals and 3D animals, we were able to create an art installation. The whole school walked through our installation and were fully immersed in the ocean experience. Because of your donations, experiences like this are made possible.

    Thank you!

Students will be using the mortar and pestles to crush leaves, petals, and more to make paints from scratch. They will use the paste and scrapbook paper to create their front and back covers of their books. They will use the rest of the paints and pens to illuminate their borders and letters in their books. They will be their own illuminators, scribes and more. These materials will bring their books to life. Our students have been working very hard in writing their poems. Their poems are inspired by the community they are from and where their parents come from, and who they are as individuals. Help us complete the last step of bringing in an amazing art experience of making their own books.
