These materials will be used to allow students more independence while working in math and reading subjects. The importance for a child to feel confident in their own work and feel like they can do it on their own is important for retaining skills that will later build upon each other in later lessons. By using a flexible approach, such as Montessori materials, students are given a chance to explore concepts at their own pace with teacher guidance. Flex seating is also an important way to help students maintain focus and enjoy their learning environment. We hope to create a space that incites excitement to learn in our students.

About my class
