Our Cozy Corner
Funded Nov 8, 2022Thank you for contributing for our cozy corner in our classroom. This has allowed my students to know that there is a place for them to go to find calm moments in the midst of the busy classroom environment. It has also encouraged them to develop social-emotional skills, such as self-awareness, acknowledgment of feelings and self-soothing skills. We have filled our cozy corner with items that encourage calming sensory exploration and quiet reading. Self regulation skills influence critical developmental milestones in a preschooler's life and our cozy corner has taught our students to independently mange their emotions and behavior. Our students definitely know where to go when they need a quiet area!”

Making Learning Fun!
Funded Apr 30, 2022We greatly appreciate your contribution towards our Making Learning Fun project. Our students were provided with hands-on learning materials that encouraged their imagination. It enhanced children's mastery of academic concepts and my students were eager to use and learn all about the new materials that were presented to them. The Building Language Lotto game helped my students recognize and name everyday words and build classification skills as they play! They were able to match objects with their pictures to help build their vocabulary and alphabetical awareness. The button sorting kit feature a variety of different attributes for children to sort and promoted kids to focus, practice with concepts like big and small, geometric shape, counting and more. You have made a difference in their learning!”

Funded Dec 13, 2021We greatly appreciate your contribution towards our Hands-on Learning Through Play project. Our students were provided with hands-on learning materials that engaged their cognitive development, fine motor skills and creativity during small group instruction or free choice play. Students were eager to use and learn all about the new materials that were presented to them. The building water blocks allowed my students to create cityscapes, boats and more! The jumbo alphabet sponge painters helped children enhance their alphabetical awareness. The tweezer tongs coloring sorting kit helped children develop fine motor control, sorting skills and eye/hand coordination. Kids were able to simply grip the tweezer tongs, then grab and sort the balls into the tubes by color, building the muscle control and coordination they need to begin writing. You have made a difference in their learning!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lizarraga
