My class is full of learners who are always on the move, not only due to COVID inhibiting many of them from being able to obtain in-person education, but also because my class is full of future actors, dancers, singers, musicians, and artists who require the freedom to move without the restrictions of safety and distractions being called in to question. Flexible seating will allow my students to move freely in their seat without the worry of what ifs, "What if my chair tips too far?" "What if my movement distracts others?" Well what if my students were able to adjust their needs with their flexible seating options? The variety of seating options allows students to choose a table in my classroom that fits their needs and empowers them to understand they are not alone in their needs in order to succeed. Due to COVID, and the necessity of masks, our language skills in Kindergarten have been put to the test. Many of my students are showing deficits in the ability to distinguish sounds and words, which is unfortunately, is being heightened due to masks. Students are having trouble distinguishing certain sounds, and in turn, they are having trouble replicating these sounds which effects their efforts to transform sounds into words. The resources I have chosen will allow students to practice standards RF.K.1b, RF.K.2d., and RF.K.3 to help enhance their abilities to recognize sounds.
