The Classroom That Needed Paper
Funded Nov 30, 2021I can not say enough times, the simple words of "thank you". Your donation has made it possible for students to participate in needed daily work across the curriculum. Having copy paper available makes it possible to guarantee that each student in my classroom has their assignment in front of them to work on. Lay people underestimate the value of kindergarten students being able to color a handout or write the alphabet or draw a picture.
Virtual learning during covid stole something from students when hands-on classroom instruction was not available. Students need to touch, feel, and manipulate paper. Cutting and glue-ing does not only add to the lesson at hand, it also increases small motor skills. When students can manipulate a piece of paper with scissors, a pencil, a crayon, or even attempting origami, it adds to their daily experience and overall learning.
Your generosity has made learning possible. Who knew a basic staple, like paper, would be something the students could not have access to....but you changed that!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Hindermyer
