  • Flexible Seating for Small Group Sessions

    Funded Apr 7, 2025

Thank you so much for giving to our classroom. We are appreciative of your helping making this classroom a sale, clean, and welcoming learning environment. These chairs and organizers will help the classroom stay tidy and give students better, and more flexible seating options during math, reading, and writing small groups.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Karnley

This classroom project was brought to life by Optimum and 3 other donors.
  • BHM Book Section

    Funded Feb 5, 2025

Thank you so much for your kind donation! Students are already excited about learning more about Black History and culture this month. We are even gearing up for our assembly. Now, we have some books to add! We will do these as read aloud and they will be available for student independent reading as well!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Karnley

  • First Grade Math Classroom

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Thank you again kindly for your generous donations. We use them daily in our classroom to create a safe, organized, and joyful learning environment. Students have been engaging in social emotional learning, math, and science!

Students use the materials in our math rotations to engage in both independent learning and group activities. This is helping students build number sense and fluency!

We make constant use of the timers and doorbell to get attention and to stay on track with timing. The students love the door bell!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Karnley

  • Restock Our Class

    Funded Feb 27, 2023

Thank you so much for helping restock our classroom! Your assistance meant we spent less time finding materials, and more time getting to work! We also used the materials to practice interactive math to bolster our math skills and really "see" the math. We did some read aloud as well, where students were able to delve into some social studies! Students particularly enjoyed the flash card games and using interactive worksheets using the index cards and protective sleeves we received. Thank you for helping students learn and have fun!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Karnley

This classroom project was brought to life by Ulta Beauty and one other donor.
  • An Inclusive Learning Environment

    Funded Sep 23, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. They have been so helpful in our classroom. Students have used the math manipulatives to practice counting and writing numbers.

The materials also helped me create focus centers in the class for working with multiple students at a time. The focus center is stocked with work binders and books. Students can choose to use the book, binder, or work on online blended learning.

The tent has been a HUGE hit and even students who aren't in my classroom ask to use it! We use is as both a calm down corner, break center, and incentive. It is also stocked with teddy bears and sensory toys that really make the difference in helping students calm down and regroup.

I am looking forward to finding even more creative ways to use the materials. Let me know if you have any ideas!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Karnley

  • Diverse Class Library

    Funded Dec 14, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations. They have been so helpful in our classroom. As you may know, it is vitally important to have books and materials that reflect the students I teach.

With your generous donations I have been able to stock a classroom with books on all kinds of topics that reflect my students. It has sparked great questions and discussions.

We have talked about the courage of Harriet Tubman and the effects of segregation, but we have also just been able to read fun books about cooking, roller skating, and trying new things with characters that look like them!

    What an amazing gift!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Karnley

These materials will enhance the class library and guided reading times. Many of our current guided reading book options and books in our library only feature white students. However, all of my students are students of color. It has been proven in research that students who see themselves positively reflected in literature and learning environments can have an immeasurable positive impact. We will use these to continue to bolster students' phonemic awareness skills, phonics, and reading comprehension skills for both read alouds, guided reading, and independent reading time. My students will be able to read and see themselves in literature, helping them dream further than before!
