  • Shh... We're Trying to Learn!

    A heartfelt thank you from my students and I!

    My students were extremely excited to find out that they would all receive their own personal headphones. In a classroom filled with 32 students, it can be hard to focus when everyones computer is playing out loud. Because of this, headphones are an indispensable tool and are crucial for our classroom. This project has helped to reduce the noise during reading groups and allows students to fully focus and learn.

  • School Basics for Student Success

    I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for your contribution to our classroom! Immediately upon receiving the items, we opened them to restock our community supplies. Going into second semester, our supplies were very limited and scarce. With your support, I was able to restock our classroom to ensure that students had what they needed to be successful.   • Fostering a Love for Reading! Literature Circles

    I would like to thank you again for bringing this project to life for my students and I. As a second year teacher, I don't have many books that are meaningful and culturally relevant to my students. I knew that if I wanted to shift their perspectives and attitude towards reading, I had to find books that would capture their interest. Your support has allowed me to transform our daily reading groups and allow students to experience reading in a different way.

    My students were excited to incorporate these books into literature circles. The deep conversations and discussions that stemmed from the books were truly amazing to see! This project has helped students improve their reading fluency, comprehension, and higher-level thinking skills. It is amazing what a great book can do for students!
