The materials purchased with this project will help build a fully functional Science lab for my 8th graders, and will help us build a classroom that adequately uses the 3D learning approach to science learning. Students will learn science and engineering practices by doing real world science, and using lab grade materials. A main part of this project has students growing Wisconsin Fast Plants to learn about genetic inheritance. Students will plant the seeds, grow the plants, cross- pollinate, and then grow the offspring to look for inherited traits. This makes something like genetics much more tangible to our students.
