With your help I'd like to provide my students with a specific mathematical notebook that will allow them to take notes and express mathematical equations in a concrete way. After a year of working on computers my students are expressing the desire to connect with pencil and paper. I believe by providing these notebooks my students will have their imaginations stimulated and expand their understanding while solving equations. The NVAC standards I teach in my classroom are directly correlated with graphing, so these notebooks will absolutely help me achieve meeting of the standards. After a year online my students are struggling with keeping their full attention on learning. With your help, and fidget devices, my students can begin to focus more on the instruction in the classroom. In addition to boosting focus and productivity these devices will give my student’s mind a bit of a fun mental break thereby making it easier to pay attention afterward. Additionally, I'm asking for chess sets for students to improve their general learning skills, learn important social/interactive skills, and an important array of intellectual skills. Social skills are something my students severely missed out on during the pandemic. They are yearning for this connection to their peers. Chess sets can help give them that socialization through puzzle solving and strategy.
